David Slipp
Founder
With over three decades of experience in the safety and security business, David has seen the difficulty many industries have experienced when trying to find quality customer service from the security firms they hire. As someone who has a passion for helping others, he has observed the progressively high levels of stress and frustration that come with finding a dependable, fast-response security firm. When forming his own company, David sought to establish the most efficient and responsive on-site security firm in all of Canada.
Prior to founding HKS Security Group, David held a variety of roles in both the security and law enforcement sectors, having been a Police Constable and Private Investigator, Regional Manager and Security Consultant in emergency security management, and he holds security license certifications for Alberta.
David also has a passion for helping first responders which drives him to do whatever he can to support them. When he isn't working David’s favourite place to get away is Mexico. He also enjoys fishing, motorbiking, spending time with his family, especially hunting with his son.
Jennifer Mahoney
CEO
Jennifer Mahoney hails from Edmonton, Alberta and studied Business at NAIT. With over a decade of experience in business management, Jennifer is a valuable asset to HKS Security as the new CEO.
She oversees security operations, manages personnel, ensures compliance with laws and regulations, identifies, and reduces security risks, trains security personnel, and leads business development efforts. Prior to her time at HKS Security Jennifer managed a medical office for five years also directing Marketing and Community Outreach.
When she's not working, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going fishing and swimming. She also indulges in her interests such as listening to podcasts, reading, and building puzzles. Her favorite travel spots range from the east coast's Nova Scotia to the west coast's Vancouver Island.
